Introduction
Workgroup
trend is to achieve fully online data library and maintain a higher
integration between PDC and operating companies and to meet the
requirements of oil business, through a power full data management system.
And in order to safe available time and cost, we tried to organized and
introduced some standards and reporting procedure to unify all data types
and formats through out the country .
Objectives
- To come out with
standard geological data format.

a.To establish Well Culture Reporting Procedures. To
define acceptable delivery digital formats for borehole RAW data.
- To unify companies
geological data naming (considering the existing data renaming i.e. To
propose a procedure for bringing previously completed wells to today’s
standards.
- To identify data
reporting & media (deliveries type).
- Online data exchange
between operating companies and PDC.
- Master interpreted
information database possibility.
- Possibility of posting
any geological information on Sudan map.
Planned activities
-
1.End of July: The group should have finalized the format
types in which the well data should be submitted to the data NDC.
- Mid August: The group should decide on the type of format in which
the data of the previously drilled well (approximately. 500 wells),
should be transformed and organized for proper storage in the NDC.
- End August: The group should make a presentation of the proposed
types and structures of the well data.
- Mid September: Submission of the work
