Petroleum data centre (PDC):

PDC is one of the departments of Oil exploration & production authority (OEPA), Sudanese petroleum corporation (SPC) , Ministry of energy & mining (MEM), Sudan.

PDC in brief

Constructed in march 1998, under supervision of ZBEP, a Chinese company. Training and data management software was also provided by ZPEB.

An Integrated E&P Data Management to Preserve and Provide Complete and Quality Data with Highest Integrity for the SUDANESE' E&P Business

Key roles: Custodian of national E&P data

Objectives: Undertake activities to receive, register, prepare, load/store, publish, deliver, archive and dispose E&P technical data from E&P business operations.

Scope of Work: Plan, Acquire, Receive, Register / Inventories, Prepare, Load/Store, Publish, Deliver, Archive, Dispose.

Repository Data Management: Raw/Original data, processed data, final interpreted data

E&P subsurface data: Seismic (digital, tapes and hardcopies), well Log (digital, tapes and hardcopies), unstructured (digital technical support and final repots), geosample (physical), production.
